3. Medical & Physical Health Disclaimer
- The Therapy Services are not a substitute for evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment of physical or medical conditions.
- I do not diagnose or treat physical diseases, injuries, or medical conditions. If you have or suspect you have a serious physical or medical condition (e.g., cardiovascular disease, cancer, neurological disorders, untreated infections, chronic illness with unknown cause), you agree you will seek evaluation by a qualified medical professional (M.D., D.O., or other licensed medical provider) before or concurrently with any psychotherapeutic work.

4. No Guarantees of Results
You understand and agree that therapy involves personal effort and that results vary. I make no guarantees, representations, or warranties that you will achieve any specific outcome. You accept responsibility for your decisions, actions, and outcomes.
5. Confidentiality & Limits
- I adhere to professional, legal, and ethical standards of confidentiality under NY & NJ law. Information shared is confidential except where disclosure is required by law (e.g., imminent risk of harm to self/others, child/elder abuse, court subpoena).
- Please review my separate Privacy Policy for details on how I collect, use, and protect your data.
6. Virtual/Teletherapy Conditions
When we work virtually (video or phone) you agree to:
- Use a private and secure location with minimal risk of interruption.
- Accept that technology may occasionally fail or interrupt service; you accept responsibility for maintaining your connection.
- Confirm that you are physically located in a jurisdiction where the Therapist is licensed or providing consultation in compliance with applicable remote‑practice rules. If you reside outside NY & NJ, you understand that additional rules may apply and you bear responsibility for verifying eligibility.
7. Cancellation & Payment
- Free 20‑minute consultation offered to determine fit before commitment.
- Cancellation policy:
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled session to avoid a fee.
- If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not show up (“no‑show”), you will be charged the full session fee.
- Exceptions may be granted for emergencies or sudden illness at the therapist’s discretion.
- Payment: You agree to pay the fee and any applicable taxes or service charges per session.
